The Season of Lent  is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, beginning on Ash Wednesday and ending on Holy Saturday.  Lent in 2014 will start on Wednesday, the 5th of March and will continue until Saturday, the 19th of April.  Lent comes from the Anglo Saxon word lencten, which means "spring."  The forty days represent the time Jesus spent in the wilderness, ending the temptation of Satan and preparing to begin his ministry. learn more

Youth Summer Mission Trip for 2014:  This year we will be going to a United Methodist A.R.M.Y. Camp in Sulphur Springs, Texas.  It is a mixed ages camp (6th -12th grades).  We will be working on projects in the community including general repairs and clean up, building wheelchair ramps, porches, steps, handrails, painting, mowing, and being Christ's hands and feet in the world.  Daily worship  and noon devotionals serve to focus everyone on Christ and promote spiritual development.
